“Out of the Darkness Community Walk” w/ American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
@ Mission Creek Park (San Francisco)
Contact Person: Ryan Ayers (email@example.com)
When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow AFSP to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. As the leader in the fight against suicide, and thanks to walkers like you from cities across the country, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025. The 12th annual San Francisco Out of the Darkness Community Walk will take place on 9/27/15 in downtown San Francisco and the Greater SF Bay Area Chapter is exited to host another great event with your help!
To sign up for any of these activities, please email the contact person listed before the day of the event (cc me on the email). Please do not reply to this email with questions about Community Engagement requirements—all of that information will be provided to you at the appropriate time this year. For now, all you need to ask yourself is, do I want to do one of these activities or not. I hope that some of you do!
